It is the goal of the Interim Association Advisory Board to provide critical and supportive advice to assist the Interim Association in enhancing its leadership, certification and educational role in the interim management field in North America; to support the Association in carrying its message to members and the community; to create sustainable membership value; and to guide the development and management of research and published works of value to the industry.

 Chris LaCorata- Board Chairman/ Executive Director
Founder and Executive Director of Interim Association, Principal/ Managing Partner, INTERIM America. Corporate executive, interim turnaround leader, and business consultant with over 25 years leading organizations through complex periods of high growth, management changes, restructuring and distressed situations. Served as Vice President of Operations, ClearSource Inc; Director of Operations, Consolidated Container; Director of Operations, WisPak Pepsi-Cola; plant management roles with Nestles, Coca-Cola of New York, Wakefern Foods, and Alumax Extrusions along with a variety of interim executive turnaround roles in the consumer goods and industrial sectors. Received a BS from University of Connecticut, MS from Marian University, and attended Harvard Business School’s executive education program.
 Dr. Ian Daniell- Board Member
Interim Management Industry expert and current Managing Director of Forim, a company that provides research and support to the interim management industry. Past Managing Director, Executive Support Group Limited, an international interim management provider; past Board Chairman, Interim Management Association, former Lieutenant Colonel in the British Army. Education includes a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey; MA in Management, Canterbury Business School; and Doctorate in Professional Studies, Middlesex University with research into the changes in the interim management industry. Dr Daniell has participated in a number of Association events as a subject matter expert and brings to the board insight from the international interim management community and lessons learned from more than 25 years of the more mature European markets.
 Jane Matthews- Board Member
Jane Matthews is a highly experienced corporate executive in both interim and corporate
capacities. Ms. Matthews is the President of Odgers Interim Canada, part of Odgers Berndtson,
a leading global executive search and interim management provider. Her interim executive
roles have spanned a number of different sectors including: technology, professional services,
and not-for-profit. Past corporate executive roles include: Vice President, Sales and Marketing
– Computershare Trust of Canada; Vice President, Cash and Treasury Management –
Scotiabank; Regional Vice President, Ontario and Atlantic Provinces – Montreal Trust;
and Director of Sales and Services, Institutional Trust and Custody – Bank of Montreal.
Ms. Matthews received a BA degree from Carleton University (Ottawa), is a board member for
The June Callwood Centre, a NFP organization in Toronto, and is part of an MBA mentoring
program. Ms. Matthews has participated in a number of Association events as a subject matter
expert and brings to the board a unique perspective as an interim provider serving multiple
industries and also as an interim executive herself.
 Roger Sim- Board Member
Professionally qualified senior finance executive with 25 years of experience in both corporate and interim executive roles in leading financial analysis, recapitalization, large scale turnaround activity, M&A, and successful exits of Private Equity held businesses in the consumer packaging sector. Currently Regional Director of Finance for Global Closure Systems. Past corporate and interim roles include Interim Director of Finance, Global Closure systems; Vice President / General Manager, Silgan Tubes; Vice President of Finance & Administration, Silgan Closures; Managing Partner- Finance, IT and HR, Thatcher Tubes. Mr. Sim has participated in a number of Association events as a subject matter expert. Mr. Sim brings to the board a comprehensive understanding in the unique needs of distressed businesses and the Private Equity community from acquisition to exit.
 Garry Welsh- Board Member
A highly experienced international C-Level executive with experience as both an interim and corporate executive in both the US and the UK. Currently the CEO and President of GJW consulting, an advisory and interim management services firm serving the financial services, healthcare, and business services sectors. Mr. Welsh has been a Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer in banking, investment and wealth management, insurance, healthcare, technology, and HR services. Mr. Welsh has had past roles such as interim CEO; CFO, Gevity; Global Chief Operating Officer, Barclays Private and International Bank; Interim Global Chief Operating Officer, Barclays Private Investors; Senior Practice Leader, Oracle UK Corp; Chief Operating Officer, Norwich Union Healthcare; and Chief Financial Officer, Norwich Union Investment Management. Mr. Welsh has participated in a number of Association events as a subject matter expert and brings to the board substantial executive experience as an interim industry insider in both the United States and the UK.
